Today we’re talking about policing your lead database. Just because your lead database is full of records, doesn’t mean that your messages are actually going to all of them. In your marketing automation system, if a lead is unsubscribed or has a hard bounce, you won’t be getting emails to them anyway, so get them out of your database, and rely on the fact that your marketing automation tool will remember if they previously unsubscribed. So, if they ever come back, and you still can’t send them an email, you can safely get rid of them and save your lead database the space that it’s taking up with that record.
