Through user experience heat map tracking, SmartAcre discovered there was not a clear path for users to navigate to Bangor Cork’s product pages. A confusing checkout process further deterred users from completing orders, resulting in a high number of abandoned carts. SmartAcre determined a new user experience needed to be established, and designed a simple user flow for users to navigate to an end product and order within three clicks or less on all devices.
SmartAcre conducted a full brand refresh, redesigning Bangor Cork’s logo and branding to reflect a more modern look. Three separate designs provided unique, smooth experiences for shoppers across mobile, tablet, and desktop devices. SmartAcre provided new hi-res photography for more than 230 unique products, showcasing different selling points and capturing the quality of the client’s products.
SmartAcre implemented a new e-commerce platform that allowed for flexibility in responsive design, a highly supported technology and simple backend usability for the client to view abandoned cart activity, manage products and process orders.
SmartAcre developed new, optimized content geared toward unique markets and customers, and continues to develop search friendly content centered around applications using Bangor Cork’s products. In addition, SmartAcre provides ongoing, proactive and agile SEO and paid ad services to ensure the site’s online visibility continues to perform as new search engine algorithms and features are rolled out. This includes social advertising, digital asset creation, and monthly content creation.
In 2016, SmartAcre partnered with third-party logistics company, 3PL Central, to build out an integrated marketing program. As an extension of the 3PL Central marketing team, SmartAcre provides additional expertise and bandwidth to accelerate marketing ROI.
