SmartAcre wins 2014 MobileWebAward for new LCTI website

“LCTI is very pleased with SmartAcre and our new website,” said David Bracetty, public relations coordinator at Lehigh Career & Technical Institute (LCTI). “With every step we took forward with the design of the site, mobile access and the overall user experience were a consistent priority. We are thrilled to be recognized with this MobileWebAward.”
SmartAcre won “Best Education Mobile Website” for the design and development of the LCTI website. The new site, launched in August 2014, gives the audience a look into the student experience. The site was built on a responsive framework to allow users to browse areas of study, watch course videos, get teacher contact information, request information about enrollment, and more – all from a mobile device.
“Since 1997, the WebAwards have helped define the standards for website development, now the MobileWebAwards will do the same for sites and apps designed for mobile devices,” said William Rice, president of the Web Marketing Association.
The Web Marketing Association’s third annual MobileWebAwards recognize the individual and team achievements of web professionals all over the world who create and maintain the best mobile websites and the best mobile applications. Contestants were judged on seven criteria seen as requirements for a success mobile website or mobile app. They include creativity, impact, design, content, interactivity, ease of use and use of the medium.
