SmartAcre Lives Up to “Always Be Caring” Motto At Annual Retreat

At SmartAcre, “Always Be Caring” isn’t just a motto or core value, it’s something we have worked into our everyday life. Caring drives what we do, whether it be about our employees, clients, or the greater community.

At the end of October, all of our SmartAcres convened in St. Petersburg, FL for our Annual Retreat. While a time to come together from across the country to partake in team bonding and time for self, it also gave us the opportunity to spread a little love to others.

To kick off our time together, we put our creative minds together to work making inspirational cards for Cardz for Kidz to try to bring smiles to sick and recovering patients and families in hospitals, nursing homes, and rehabilitation centers.

Started in 2010, Cardz for Kidz delivers cheer not just to pediatric patients and their families, but to Veterans, senior citizens, and anyone in need of some encouragement across 40 countries. Local partners hand-deliver every card to the recipient to ensure they’re received.

“This was a heart-filled exercise and was so neat to see our SmartAcres come together and bring their creative sides to life to uplift someone else’s spirit. It was a perfect way to start our retreat with warmth and positivity,” shared David Snyder, SmartAcre CEO.

The Cardz for Kidz activity is just one of SmartAcre’s commitments to caring. Throughout the year we participate in a day of service activities, sponsor charity events, and more.
